Sticky’s Finger Joint brings drunk-tested fried chicken to the Financial District

New York-born and beloved institution for fried chicken Sticky’s Finger Joint is opening in the city’s new hot neighborhood: the Financial District.

Sticky’s is famous for its spectrum of munchies-inspired flavors, among them the General Sticky Tso, the chicken parm-in-stick-form Bada Bing! and Salted Caramel Pretzel, which is widely hailed as too good to eat because you’ll be craving its crushed pretzel breading and salted caramel sauce forever. At least the chicken is locally sourced and antibiotic-free?

The mini-chain’s fourth location opens today, Jan. 26, at 21 Maiden Lane between Broadway and Nassau Street. The 16-seat space welcomes guests with a sign that promises “The Best Damn Chicken Finger You Have Ever Tasted,” just so there are no questions. It’ll also be the first location offering an expanded menu with sandwiches including the Bacon Mac (chopped bacon, caramelized onions, pickles) and wraps and salads like the Far East (purple slaw, carrots, scallions, sesame seeds, General T’sticky sauce).

You’ll find new sauces, too, like the low-fat Greek yogurt-based Skinny Dip, Hot Honey that gets its kick from sriracha’s more serious cousin, Sambal Oelek, and Vindaloo BBQ. The new items will roll out at other Sticky’s locations within the next couple months.
