Officials announced on Thursday that the second body found during the search for the missing friend of Nisa Mickens is Kayla Cuevas.
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the teens' killer or killers. Anyone, regardless of criminal history or immigration status, is eligible for the reward, according to PIX11.
Mickens was found dead on Tuesday, the eve of her 16th birthday, near a Long Island school. She had been beaten to death and authorities are investigating the death as a homicide.
Her best friend Cuevas had been missing since Tuesday. Authorities confirmed that the second body found in a wooded area by Ray Court in Brentwood during the search is Cuevas.

Nisa Mickens was discovered by a passing motorist on Stahley Street in Brentwood around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to published reports.
Mickens, who was set to turn 16 Wednesday, had cuts to her body and head trauma, according to NBC4.
Mickens’ mother told ABC7 that her daughter was out on Tuesday night with her best friend, Cuevas, who hadn’t been seen since. Her last social media post was at 4 p.m. that day.
