Christmastime is here? Not yet but the cold weather has arrived, and that means The Rink at Rockefeller Center is open for business beginning Oct. 11.

The world’s most famous ice rink marks 80 years of iconic skating this winter, so expect some nostalgia like Billboard hits from the last eight decades and an exhibit of historic photos inside the skate house. Sessions last an hour and a half beginning at 8:30 a.m. through midnight seven days a week, with admission ranging from $25 to $32 on peak days, plus $12 to rent skates.

Note that you’ll be jostling for space alongside the quarter of a million skaters who visit the rink annually, so advance reservations may be a good idea. And yes, there are packages for engagements and other special occasions, too.
