Three men have been arrested after a Brooklyn cellphone store robbery ended in a police-involved shooting and one hospitalized suspect.
Alan Francois, 25, Altariq Mciver, 39, and Marquis Riley, 25, have been charged with offenses stemming from a Thursday robbery of a Verizon store on Avenue P in Midwood, the NYPD reported.
Before noon, the suspects entered the store, announced a robbery and ordered all employees into a back room as they removed an unknown number of cellphones, the police stated. They then fled the scene in a black Jeep.
After being alerted to the incident, police broadcasted a description of the vehicle, which was spotted on East 14thStreet, where the suspects attempted to flee on foot. After one of the suspects displayed a firearm, an officer shot him twice in the torso, police stated.
The wounded suspect was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
Besides the three arrests, authorities also recovered two firearms from the scene, police added.
