Two related Prospect Park assaults left victims in a Brooklyn hospital and a suspect in custody, but police are continuing to investigate a third slashing that happened Thursday morning.
Police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed and slashed two Brooklyn parkgoers on Wednesday night, NBC has reported. The two incidents happened shortly before midnight. RELATED:Serial spitter is targeting Brooklyn residents In the first incident, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a 30-year-old man on Lincoln Road near East Drive fought back during an attempted robbery but was slashed by the suspect, ABC stated in a related article. A few minutes later, near the corner of Parkside and Ocean avenues, police told ABC that the same suspect stabbed a 43-year-old man in the stomach before stealing his wallet.
A man was arrested on Thursday morning in connection to the incidents, according to NBC.
The victims were moved to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, NBC added.

The suspect, a man, reportedly fled before police arrived. The victim, who sustained a non-life-threatening injury, was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, according to ABC.
