The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will be closed on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the New York City Marathon.
Motorists must use an alternate route to access Brooklyn and Staten Island.
The MTA said the upper level of the bridge will be closed to traffic starting at 11 p.m. on Saturday to prepare for the marathon, and all vehicles carrying hazardous materials may not cross the bridge after preparations begin.
Bay Street and Lily Pond Avenue exits will close at 3 a.m. on Sunday and open again after 3 p.m.
