Passing drivers rushed to the aid of a tractor trailer driver after his clothes were set afire in a collision with another big rig on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The man is seen running across the highway as motorists ran to his aid.
The 8 p.m, accident and subsequent massive fireballs closed the northbound lanes for hours and backed up traffice for nine miles.
Several northbound lanes remained closed Thursday morning but were due to open imminently, officials said at 6:30 a.m.

Somehow, both driver are okay, the New Jersey State Police said,
One of the trucks was reportedly carrying medical supplies, but authorities have yet to confirm details of what both rigs were crashing -- and why the trucks exploded.

One truck driver caught in the subsequent traffic back tried to stay positive.
"That OT clock is ticking. I'm good!" he posted on Instagram.
Other motorists said they feel lucky to be alive."Scariest moment of my life seeing the flames shooting out at the road I was on," one posted. "Race against time to get off the road to safety."
