Video released of masked suspect who shot man, woman at Queens restaurant

Police are looking for a red mask-wearing suspect who left two people injured after a shooting at a Queens restaurant last month.

On Feb. 20 at 12:25 a.m. the suspect — described as a Hispanic man — entered the Rico Chimi restaurant at 80-01 Atlantic Ave., took out a gun and shot at a 40-year-old man who was inside, according to authorities. The man was shot on his leg and hip and taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

During the shooting, a 32-year-old woman was also injured receiving gunshot wounds to her buttocks and legs, police said. She was also transported to Jamaica Hospital where she was treated and released.

The suspect is described to be about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170 pounds and with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a red mask, a black hooded jacket, black pants and black shoes.

Authorities have released surveillance video from inside the restaurant during the hoot and of the suspect’s vehicle.
