The NYPD is seeking a man in connection to a Bronx grocery store robbery last weekend.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, a man entered the Prince Deli and Grocery at 131 West Kingsbridge Rd. and began a verbal dispute with the store clerk, police reported. The man then grabbed the clerk from across the counter.
As he attempted to lunge after the fleeing clerk, the robber lost his hat then picked up a big box of beef jerky products and threw it at the employee, the New York Post stated.
After the clerk fled, the man made his way behind the counter where he removed $250 from the register before running away, according to police.
Authorities described the robber as a black man between 160 and 170 pounds who stood approximately 5-foot-8.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA.
