A water condition in Upper Manhattan is causing delays along the A and C train lines during Friday morning’s commute.

The trouble began late Thursday night when a water main broke near 163rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Washington Heights, CBS New York reported.

The MTA suspended train service in both directions at 10 p.m., and delays continued through the early morning hours.

As of 6:10 a.m., southbound C trains are skipping the 163rd Street/Amsterdam Avenue stop. A train service, which according to the New York City Subway Twitter account was also affected by an earlier incident, has resumed at 163rd Street, but residual delays are expected.

The MTA warns commuters to allow for additional travel time this morning.
