A woman was hit and killed by a mail truck in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

A Bronx woman was fatally hit by a USPS mail truck early Tuesday morning in Brooklyn.

Dorria Campfield, 52, from the Bronx was hit just before 5 a.m. in front of 2138 Fulton Street in Brooklyn near Rockway Avenue .

A preliminary police investigation found that Campfield was lying in the roadway before she was hit.

She was taken to Interfaith Hospital and pronounced dead. The USPS driver remained at the scene, police said. The NYPD continues to investigate.
