A woman was found dead this morning on a bench in a pedestrian plaza in Midtown Manhattan, according to police.
Cops responded to a 911 call at 9:37 a.m. Monday of a woman in need of help outside of 1400 Broadway near the intersection of Broadway and West 38th Street.
Upon arriving, police officers saw the victim sitting on a bench at the pedestrian plaza unconscious and unresponsive, cops said. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the woman’s identity is pending family notification.
