Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say attempted to rape a woman on a Bronx street early Monday morning.

On April 11 at about 2 a.m. the suspect followed the 47-year-old victim when she was near West Kingsbridge Road and Webb Avenue, according to authorities.

Once the women reached the corner of Webb Avenue and Eames Place the man grabbed her from behind and pulled down her pants, cops said. The victim allegedly screamed and punched the suspect who then ran away eastward on Eames Place.

The NYPD, who released surveillance video of the suspect, described the man as in his mid-20s, last seen wearing a black do-rag, black and red jacket, black pants, and black, red and white sneakers.
