A 22-year-old woman was stabbed to death early Tuesday morning on a Brooklyn street while her infant child sat nearby in a stroller, police said.
The woman, who was later identified as Joann Beauzier, was stabbed in the chest just before 1 a.m. on Lott Avenue near the intersection with Bristol Street, investigators said. Witnesses told police that they saw two women run from the area after the stabbing.
Officers found Beauzier's 9-month-old child sitting in a stroller at the scene, NBC 4 New York reported, adding that police believe the child was placed in the custody of the father.
Beauzier was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
