Police took aWorldTrade Centersecurity guard into custody early Monday morning after he allegedly slashed a man who tossed french fries at him at a lower Manhattan McDonald’s. Police said a 20-year-old man was throwing fries at the 55-year-old on-duty security guard while at the McDonald’s at 160 Broadway.

The victim ran to Fulton Center and called police. After canvassing the area, police apprehended the security guard at Church and Vesey streets. The security guard was treated for a split lip at NewYork-Presbyterian, Lower Manhattan Hospital.
He is in custody but has not yet been charged, police said late Monday morning.
