Mounties seized 1,600 marijuana plants Friday in a raid at a Langley home, RCMP said yesterday.

Mounties seized 1,600 marijuana plants Friday in a raid at a Langley home, RCMP said yesterday.

The police had received a tip from B.C. Hydro that the residence had been stealing electricity.

The owner of the house, a 42-year-old Vancouver man, was arrested and is to appear in court June 12.

Langley Cpl. Holly Marks said the house was declared “uninhabitable” due to mould and extensive water damage caused by the hydroponic operation.
