Five people, including two children were found dead in a Dalhousie home Wednesday morning.
It is believed the adult victims are in their 30s and the children are aged six and four, according to police.
A one-year-old girl was taken from the home unharmed and is in the care of social services.
Police were called to the 5000 block of Dalhart Hill NW by neighbours who were concerned for the welfare of the home’s occupants, according to Calgary Police Service Insp. Frank Reuser.
Reuser said none of the deaths were of natural causes and that first response emergency personnel have been sent for counseling to deal with what they saw on scene.
“It hits pretty close to home,” said Mia Albino, combing her own one-year-old daughter’s hair with her fingers. Albino is familiar with the family because of their community soccer connection.
