The B.C. government is asking 30,000 of its employees to take a voluntary day off per week this summer to help the province save money.
From June 24 to Sept. 4, public servants can take 20 per cent off their normal work week as an unpaid leave of absence, CBC News Online reports.
According to the government, the pilot project could save an estimated $5 million if half of its employees participate.
