Night-crawling car burglars have been hitting Dartmouth over the past month.

Dartmouth has seen 32 car thefts since Nov. 1, Halifax Regional Police said in a release yesterday. Spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter said about a dozen cars were stolen from north-end Dartmouth, leading police to believe the incidents are related.

“That is pretty strong evidence to suggest that they would likely be connected,” he said.

All incidents occurred overnight, and the majority of cases involved older cars. Palmeter said all of the vehicles stolen from the north end have been recovered, as well as most of the other thefts.

He said there are no suspects at this time.
