5 Brampton teens arrested in stabbings

Five Brampton teens were arrested and more are wanted in connection to the violent beating and stabbing of two Burlington men — an incident police are calling a possible case of mistaken identity.

Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, three men were confronted by what Halton police are describing as “a large group of males” at a plaza on Headon and Upper Middle roads, near Walkers Line.

Using baseball bats, knives and homemade weapons, the men began assaulting two of the victims, police said.

The third was able to get away.

Police caught up with the suspects a short distance from the scene and arrested four 18-year-olds and one 15-year-old. They have been charged with assault with a weapon.

Police are still searching for other suspects.
