Police say a man pleaded guilty and received a $1,000 fine and a one-year driving prohibition after being arrested for impaired driving in early July.

Then, in the last week of the month, police say he was charged again. That case is still before the courts.

Of the 51 people charged overall in July, 42 were men and nine were women, ranging in ages from 18 to 78. Seven of those charges were issued following accidents, and 23 came in through 911 calls from the public.

Police also wrote-up nine 24-hour suspensions.
