7.6 magnitude earthquake strikes Japanese island Honshu, Fukushima warned

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck 231 miles east of the Japanese island of Honshu on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck 231 miles east of the Japanese island of Honshu on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A U.S. Pacific tsunami warning center said there was no destructive widespread tsunami threat following the quake.

A "yellow" warning of a 1-meter tsunami has been issued for the Fukushima region, due to hit coast in 10 minutes, according to a Japanese weather agency.
