Tamara Samsonova, a 68-year-old woman from Russia, is suspected of killing at least three people and possibly consuming parts of their bodies.
Samsonova was arrested in late July after security footage was recovered of her lugging away garbage bags containing pieces of her most recent victim’s body. Police found that one of the garbage bags contained the head of a 79-year-old woman Samsonova was a caretaker for.

Upon her arrest, Samsonova reportedly confessed to police that she had murdered the woman because of an argument over dirty dishes.
The New York Daily News reports that Samsonova fed the woman sleeping pills and hacked away at her body while she was still alive.
In addition to the 79-year-old woman, Samsonova is suspected of killing her husband who disappeared in 2005 and a tenant of hers.
The ever reputable British tabloid The Sun reports that Samsonova accounted for her murder of the tenant in her diary.
The Sun reports:
“One diary snippet recounts a brutal confession of how she murdered a former lodger.”
“She wrote: ‘I killed my tenant Volodya, cut him to pieces in the bathroom with a knife, put the pieces of his body in plastic bags and threw them away in the different parts of Frunzensky district.’
“Bizarrely sandwiched between accounts of her kills are regular updates of her day-to-day life, such as ‘slept badly’, ‘drank coffee’, ‘take medicines’ and ‘I do not eat.’”
Samsonova could face the death penalty if found guilty.
