The city buzzed with activity over the weekend as thousands of Torontonians took advantage of the sunny weather to enjoy the various festivities across Toronto.

Masala! Mehndi! Masti!, the largest free festival of South Asian culture in North America, celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Canadian National Exhibition. Among the art forms being showcased was the first South Asian-style Canadian Idol seniors competition on Sunday.

Winners Jag Mohan, 54, of the 50-64 category and Ramesh Panchal, 67, of the 65-plus category clinched their $500 prizes after beating 10 other competitors.

Meanwhile, thousands gathered at the ever-busy Yonge-Dundas Square for the 4th annual Youth Day. For these teens, the day was filled with dancing and music by young Canadian artists.
