A little off the top can do a lot of good

Many of Calgary’s top hair stylists gathered yesterday to volunteer their services and raise money for AIDS Calgary.

As part of Artists for Quality of Life, the stylists provided haircuts for adults, children and even dogs. The event raised funds for the Positive Living Lunch Program, which provides hot lunches to those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

“I’ve got a feeling we’ve raised close to $5,000,” said team leader Linda Eckess.

Eckess said all profits go directly to AIDS Calgary.
