A look at real estate on Philly’s Main Line

On a recent trip west to visit the beautiful grounds at Aronimink Golf Club in Delaware County, the drive along Route 30 from City Line Avenue showcased some of the ritzy suburbs of the Main Line.

From the massively elegant to the more simplistic, homes in towns such as Lower Merion, Radnor and Upper Tredyffrin continue to go on the market and sell for high prices. In real estate, location matters and having a Main Line address matters to many Philadelphia-area buyers.

But while price tags for homes over $1 million are still common, they aren’t as common as they were during the boom of the past decade. Here’s looking at how homes over $1 million have sold in the past couple years, compared with 2010 so far.
