A look at Wednesday’s Car Free Day celebrations

Celebrate Ottawa’s Car Free Day on Wednesday by leaving your car at home.

National Capital Commission parking lots will be open to the public to “park and bike.”

Cyclists can meet at the Champlain Bridge Parking lot and the Remic Rapids between 7 and 8 a.m., where small groups will ride to a reception for bicycle commuters at Marion Dewar Plaza.

Netherlands Ambassador Wim Geerts will talk about the importance of investing in cycling infrastructure to make cycling safer for everyone.
