A night out at the museum
Bars too crowded? Restaurants too stuffy? This summer, grab some culture (and a buzz) when many New York museums host evening-hour events. Martinis and Monet, anyone?
Not escaping to the Hamptons for the weekend? Every Friday from July 9 through August 13, The Cooper-Hewitt (2 E. 91st St., 212-849-8349) will hold Cocktails@Cooper-Hewitt in what they bill as “New York City’s largest private garden.” Jazz by the Ed Fuqua Group (6-9 p.m., free with admission, $15 or $10 for students).
