Lift on content limit opens door for investors

The same logic should apply to an investment portfolio. With the foreign content limit on registered investments now lifted, Canadian investors have access to a world of investment choices.
“Canadian investors, like investors worldwide, see local investment opportunities as familiar, comfortable and secure,” said Linda Knight, president of BMO Mutual Funds.
“Yet, by concentrating investments within one geographic region and within a relatively small market like Canada, investors are actually making themselves more vulnerable to unpredictable fluctuations in the markets.”
