Matthew Lesley Grimm was released on bail yesterday.

Grimm was charged with a number of offences in relation to the May 16 incident that killed David Alexander Julien, 15, of Dartmouth.

He appeared in court yesterday and was released with a surety of an unknown amount.

He will return to court on July 26.

Julien, a Prince Andrew high school student, was in the back seat of a white Honda Accord when it crashed into a pole on Cranberry Crescent in Dartmouth.

Grimm is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of breach of an undertaking, one count of breach of probation and one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
