LONDON – A U.S. charity is offering to pay British addicts $320 to be sterilized — and has already had its first taker, according to Reuters. But the idea has been attacked in the U.K. as exploiting the vulnerable.

Project Prevention, which runs a similar effort in America is offering adults cash to use long term or permanent birth control. The goal is to cut down on the number of babies born with drug or alcohol addiction as a result of their parents’ habits.
