It’s how local musician Meaghan Smith got her song on Grey’s Anatomy.
A conference called Music and Image is a regular component of the Atlantic Film Festival. In one of these sessions, local musicians show off their work to L.A.-based music supervisors.
“This year we have music supervisors who represent some of the major networks in Los Angeles, including CBS, Sony TV, and ABC,” said Andrea Dawson Thomas, director of operations at the festival. “We’ve got a pretty incredible lineup of heavy hitters this year who are looking for music.”
Sixteen artists are performing including members of The Trews, In Flight Safety, Thom Swift and Jenn Grant.
“It’s quite a range of artists and genres as well,” Dawson Thomas said.
