Alaska news anchor quits on live TV in pot legalization protest

KVTA anchor Charlo Green quit her broadcast job while live on TV in order to support her marijuana legalization efforts.

KTVA anchor Charlo Green decided to make her feelings about pot legalization known by quitting her broadcast job while live on TV (complete with a quick "fuck it" in regard to her job) to devote her time to legalization efforts. She outed herself as the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, and has an Indiegogo campaign running to help support the group. The intro to the campaign reads as follows:

I'm Charlo Greene, the president and CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club - Alaska's only legal medical marijuana resource. I just quit my news reporting job on live TV to announce that I am redirecting all of my energy toward helping to end a failed drug policy that has ruined the lives of far too many Americans.

As of yet, the campaign has not reached its $5,000 goal.
