Albion Ferry to set sail for the last time

The Albion Ferry commuter boats will embark on their final sailings between Fort Langley and Maple Ridge on July 31.

Construction on the Golden Ears Bridge is expected to be completed by the end of June, which will put the ferry out of service and around 58 employees out of work.

Around 4,500 vehicles use the ferry services on its 80 daily trips.

The new toll bridge will expedite the movement of goods and people across the Fraser River.
