One man is dead and several other people were taken to hospital with unknown injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Cole Harbour late yesterday afternoon.
CTV reported last night a 51-year-old man from Cole Harbour died in what ended up being two separate accidents. There was first a hit-and-run crash involving a woman driver, CTV reported, then that driver sped away and was involved in another accident at the intersection of Forest Hills Parkway and Cole Harbour Road moments later. The second crash involved several vehicles and sent at least a half-dozen people to hospital.
Halifax RCMP spokesperson Joe Taplin told CTV last night the woman driver involved in both accidents was taken to Dartmouth General Hospital with serious injuries, which aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Police aren’t ruling out alcohol as a factor in the crashes and charges could be laid.
