Alleged coke dealer passes on bail hearing

A 29-year-old man facing multiple drug offences waived his right to a bail hearing Tuesday and consented to a further remand to a federal prison.

Aaron Elvis Assoun, 29, of Victoria Road, Sydney, is among a dozen accused rounded up recently by police in a crackdown on alleged cocaine dealers.

Assoun is charged with four counts of trafficking: two dealing with cocaine and single counts involving LSD and ecstasy; two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine; two counts of possession of money — $2,020 — knowing it was obtained by crime; and a single count of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between February and April.
