A 22-year-old man residing in Edmonton has been arrested after four sexual assault cases within the Millwoods area over a one-week stretch.
Between July 29 and Aug. 4, four women were allegedly lured by the suspect, whose name has not been released, through social networking sites over the Internet, Staff Sgt. Brian Readman said. The latest assault occurred at 6 a.m. yesterday morning.
“When people use these social networking sites they need to use extreme caution,” Readman said. “They are directly related to establishing a level of comfort before meeting these women.”
The suspect allegedly made the women feel comfortable over a period of a few days before meeting them in secluded locations, with the exception of one inside a home, where they were all sexually assaulted.
He was arrested yesterday around noon in the Millwoods area.
