A police officer sent out to a shoplifting call yesterday ended up bagging a stolen car.
Halifax police say the officer was sent to a Wal-Mart on Lamont Drive where he arrested a 22-year-old man for shoplifting.
Soon after the officer seized a stolen vehicle and property believed to be linked to a number of break and enters locally and in other areas of the province.
The man was charged with several theft offences as well as seven breach
of court order charges.
