Ambleside Park gets set for Summer Sessions

The Sarah McLachlan Foundation should receive a nice financial boostafter this weekend’s sold-old Summer Sessions concert at WestVancouver’s Ambleside Park.

The Sarah McLachlan Foundation should receive a nice financial boost after this weekend’s sold-old Summer Sessions concert at West Vancouver’s Ambleside Park.

Headlined by mega-stars Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow and Neil Young, the benefit event is raising money to provide free music programs to children in underserved communities.

McLachlan, who lives in West Vancouver, said the concert will “entertain and inspire, while increasing awareness of the need for music in children’s lives.”

“I am thrilled to have Neil and Sheryl join me on stage at Ambleside Park … to help raise funds for my Foundation,” the singer said in a release.

Ambleside Park will close at midnight on Friday to prepare for the show. Dustin Bentall is scheduled to open at 2:15 Saturday afternoon. Sheryl Crow performs at 7:05 p.m., followed by Neil Young at 8:10 and Sarah McLachlan closes at 9:15 p.m.

The park reopens to the public on Sunday at 7 p.m.
