Rapper Eminem and the addictive Angry Birds iPhone app topped iTunes’ Canadian charts in 2010, while a charity single and album for Haiti relief efforts, and The Suburbs by Montreal band Arcade Fire were also among the bestsellers.

Apple did not disclose specific sales figures.

The hit game Angry Birds was the top paid iPhone app, the limited version was second on the free app chart, and it was also the third most popular iPad app to buy.

The game’s maker, Rovio, said recently that the game has been purchased more than 12 million times since going on sale in December 2009, and the free versions have been downloaded more than 30 million times.

E-book readers snapped up iBooks, making it the most popular free iPad app, followed by Google Mobile App, Movies by Flixter, Solitaire, and Google Earth.

The top paid iPad apps were Apple’s word processor Pages, GoodReader, Numbers, and Living Earth HD — World Clock and Weather.
