Ontario has confirmed another death associated with the influenza A (H1N1) virus, bringing the known national total to 21.

A 68-year-old man from Durham Region, east of Toronto, tested positive for the virus, also known as swine flu.

On Tuesday, local health officials confirmed that a 17-year-old boy from the Ottawa region and a 52-year old woman from eastern Ontario had also tested positive. Yesterday, the province said it’s not clear what role the flu played in those three fatalities.
