Armed robbery at bar in Newfoundland

BOTWOOD, NEWFOUNDLAND, – Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a pub in Newfoundland early Saturday.

RCMP in central Newfoundland say a man armed with a weapon entered Landing Pub on Water Street in Botwood and demanded money from the bartender.

Police say the suspect was alone and the pub was open but empty at the time of the incident.

Police say the bartender handed over the cash and was unharmed.
