Police say two masked men forced two workers into the back room of a Dartmouth Tim Hortons during an early morning holdup yesterday.

The suspects, believed to be in their 20s, were armed with what appeared to be a handgun when they entered the Tim Hortons at 106 Ilsley Ave. just after 4 a.m.

Police say their faces were covered with what they describe as “skull-type masks.”

“(The workers) were forced at gunpoint into a back room,” said police spokesman Const. Brian Palmeter.

He also said an undetermined amount of cash was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
