An early morning car chase led to two arrests yesterday.

Halifax RCMP received a call at 1 a.m. about a suspected impaired driver on Highway 101. The vehicle, a Subaru Legacy, was found and stopped near Exit 3.

Police say the vehicle then sped away down the highway but lost control and ran into the median where the four occupants spilled out of the car and ran into the woods.

One suspect immediately came out and was arrested.

A police dog tracked another suspect and he too was arrested. The men, aged 18 and 19, will be charged with fleeing from police and joy riding.

Police are still looking for the other two suspects.
