Police say two men put their neighbours at risk by allegedly causing two drug-related fires in separate incidents.

Police have charged both men with arson in both incidents stemming from August fires, one in McKenzie Lake and one in the 100 block of 41 Ave. NW. Both men suffered extensive burns to their bodies, said Insp. Grant Miller.

“It doesn’t happen every day, but it does happen in the city,” Miller said of the two incidents.

Police say the men were allegedly manufacturing hash oil and using a process involving butane.
