A week after a spree of suspicious fires damaged 10 houses in Toronto’s west end, police suspect arson in another blaze that damaged at least four downtown townhouses.
Yesterday’s fire was discovered around 1 a.m. on a wooden deck behind a townhouse on Ontario Street, near Parliament and Carlton streets.
It burned through the walls of three homes and forced the evacuation of at least three others. “It is an arson,” said Toronto police Staff Sgt. Harry Morris.
