An Ottawa native is performing among some of the world’s most respected opera singers at a Baroque Celebration as a part of the Music and Beyond festival tonight.
One of Canada’s most eminent early music specialists, countertenor Daniel Taylor said the concert at the Dominion-Chalmers United Church at 8 p.m. is a sort of “best hits” concert, with singers including Nancy Argenta, Ottawa’s Donna Brown and Andrew Kennedy performing.
“We wanted to have a program that was accessible to audience members even though we have a very educated audience,” he said.
