Avalanche kills 4, injures 7 in Italian Alps, state radio reports

ROME – An avalanche in the Italian Alps killed four young Italian men who were riding motorized sleds and injured seven others, Italian state radio said early Monday.

Three bodies were found Sunday evening in the first hours after the avalanche crashed down from Mount Maniva in the province of Brescia, police said.

State radio reported early Monday that the fourth fatality was a man who died of his injuries after being taken to a hospital.
