The newest addition to the B.C. Ferries fleet is in London, England, acting as a giant “floating billboard” for British Columbia and the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The MV Coastal Celebration arrived in London yesterday morning for a special promotional stop on its way home to B.C. from Germany where it was built.

The 160-metre vessel, the largest double-ended ferry in the world, is wrapped with large photographic decals that are the largest marine application of printed graphics ever undertaken.

It attracted attention as it made its way up the Thames River and moored just east of the historic Tower Bridge in the city’s downtown.
