Bank robber may have red dye on his hands: Police

Ottawa police are seeking a man who may be stained with red ink after a south-end bank was robbed Tuesday.

At around 7:05 p.m., a lone male entered a TD Canada Trust located in the 1700 block of Kilborn Ave., police said Wednesday.

A note making a demand for cash was passed, and a suspect made off with a small amount of cash and a dye pack.

There were no injuries.

Police are seeking a Caucasian male, 20 to 25 years of age, six feet tall with a medium build. Because of the dye pack, his clothing and or skin may be stained with red ink.

Anyone with information should call the robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
